Ten Thousand Villages
|
Ten Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. Ten Thousand Villages works with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing. Ten Thousand Villages is a non profit program of Mennonite Central Committee, the relief and development agency of Mennonite and Brothren in Christ churches in North America. 50 non-profit stores and more than 100 festival sales in Canada feature beautiful Ten Thousand Villages products. Thousands of volunteers work in stores and host festival sales in their communities. If you are interested and would like to participate, please contact Ten Thousand Villages.
